The case studies are most frequently taken from healthcare, but are generally applicable to any work place. Lashley talks about how to develop a culture of care in the workplace that is incompatible with conflict.He applies the principles of Verbal Defense & Influence to a healthcare setting, so if you are already familiar with the other books in the Confidence in Conflict series, then the terminology and principles will resonate for you. Lashley is a natural communicator and can break down each scenario into preferred (and safe) response options.I highly recommend this book to Health Care professionals, but also to Human Resources professionals, and people in Corrections, Law Enforcement, and Education. Any "provider" of safety and security to others would benefit by reading this book.
