But for many who come to treat their back gingerly because they fear further "injury," a cycle of worry and inactivity results; this aggravates existing muscle tightness and leads them to think of themselves as having a "bad back. Chase Easton clearly and convincingly explains the actual factors behind chronic back pain and systematically leads readers toward recapturing a life free of chronic back pain. He takes a different approach, contending that most chronic back pain is caused not by a damaged spine, but by stress, muscle tension, and inactivity. The aim is to help you reclaim your life and decrease your pain. Traditional treatments don't work because they treat the spine, not the stress. The solution: understand your own symptoms and pain, learn to resume full activity, and work with your negative emotions to prevent them from derailing your recuperation. After reading this book, I started to realize how much stress was a major factor in my back pain. This eBook gave me a better understanding and confidence in the strength and durability of my back. It was easy to read and understand. Anyone searching for relief from back pain should read this book.

Chase breaks down the origin of back pain as well as why people never seem to be able to deal with it. I love that he took the time to talk about different drugs and their uses and why or why not they could work for you.Learning from his experiences, I feel like there is a lot about the treatment of pain in America that we neglect. Why is everything solved with surgery instead of healthy diet and exercise. I really would love more people to read this, I feel much more comfortable in treating my own pain.

There are numerous medications out there that can help mask the pain but don’t really do much else. There are also therapies and exercises to help keep you moving. There are many different doctors that all prefer a different specialty in treating and injured back. As a patient going through this now, I, too, am trying to figure out what works or me. This book enlightened me as to the various treatments out there. It is really up to the individual to figure out what works for them. This is a decent resource.
