Each book gives a little more world building of the Astria universe. The beings of the Dark Nebula are getting closer to breaking a treaty of the neutral zone in which Earth sits within. In this story your given more background of these beings that would exploit all of Earths resources with the number one resource being the humans. Think if a Gorn mated with a Klingon that would be a dark Nebula being. The story was good but not the get out the ice water to put out the flames hot or as intriguing as other stories from this universe. Still a nice read that I would recommend. Actually I recommend the whole series.

This is a great little foray into sci-fi/romance, it's got some pulp flavor to it, reminiscent of some of the classic pulp authors, updated a good bit and given a twist with the romance being the driving force behind the plot, but well worth reading for the characters and engaging universe.

Not your typical alien love story (found, loved, spirited away to alien world). ; Juno Wells' shows the complications and inherent difficulties of such a romantic love story. I also LOVED seeing the bad guy Lizard aliens, finally made into more than knife or blaster fodder, for heroic aliens to dispatch before rescuing hapless human women.Plus, our beautiful alien helps transform our shy, introverted heroine, from someone with a terrible self image, to a brave and bold warrior princess! Bravo!
