From the Author Ononokin is a magical world that is split into two distinct realities: The Upperworld and the Underworld. The Upperworld is your standard medieval reality, containing wizards, kings, knights, dwarfs, elfs, halflings, etc. The Underworld has advanced technology and is full of orcs, ogres, trolls, vampires, werewolfs, gnomes, dark elfs, dark halflings, and so on.The Underworlders know about the Upperworlders, but the opposite is not exactly true. Only the elite get to know the truth about those living in the Underworld. Everyone in the Upperworld just thinks that the Underworld and its inhabitants are merely things of legend.

It is a well written off the wall cross of dark fantasy and humor ala Monty Python or Douglas Adams. If you choose to be intellectual and analyze it instead of just reading it, it can also be seen as a dark commentary on politics, big pharma, and the treatment of disempowered minorities by the empowered majority...but that's putting a lot of pressure on a fun little read.

The zombies in this novel are actual thinking a reacting characters. Oh yes, there are other character types in the mix that add substance to the plot and situations. The read is quick and compelling.
