Very helpful guide for setting up and using social media sites By Sharon French I am floundering around with Social Media Marketing and got the tip to look into this eBook. I am so glad I did. I have spent way to much time lately clicking around in sites I don't understand while trying to figure out what to do next.This book is clearly written with many links along the way to illustrate the places to go to set up your presence and how to create accounts in the many various places available. I had already set up a few of these accounts, but I did not know what to do once I got there. Darren's tips for each site are helping me to improve. There is no fluff and the points are well arranged to lead me to the correct place in the sites.If you are like me and struggling to use social media without wasting time on it, this book is for you. It shows babies rolling over, crawling, clapping, and walking. It shows toddlers climbing, kissing, swimming, eating, and it shows a little older kids jumping, dancing, pulling, riding bikes, and brushing teeth (there are plenty more actions, but these where the ones that stood out to me). My 2 year old loves brushing his teeth, so he always says brush when I show him that page. Love it!

I think it will serve the systems engineering and managerial communities in two ways: (1) as a handbook that can ground us in data-driven decision-making in contexts often dominated by politics and (2) as an introduction to decision science for those who have not (yet) formally pursued study in the field. As the title suggests, this is the common-sense, the practical thinking about how to make decisions. It serves as a reminder of the rigorous algorithms which may have been sitting unused in your analysis bookshelf: optimization, goal programming, multiple-criteria decision making, multiple-objective decision-making, etc.

It is obvious that the authors write from a culmination of years of a wide array of business experience which can be used to solve problems in many areas of several different types of businesses. It teaches you how to structure the problem so it makes it logical to solve. I will recommend this book to all of my colleagues.

Many of these concepts are so simple and simply overlooked and missed. After reading this it will help you get back to the basics instead of looking for the Silver Bullet to problem solving. I highly recommend this book, not just for the reminder and emphasis on the basics but what's more is the suggestions on taking those basics to the next level. Well done.

The definitive text By sdone Paul Kleinman, MD again gives us the final word in the radiologic evaluation of inflicted trauma in infants and children. In his third edition, Dr Kleinman has enlisted the help of many leaders in this challenging field of investigation and treatment. After nearly half a century in medicine I think I can safely say this is probably the best documented, referenced and illustrated medical textbooks I have ever read. I am in the process of reading it from cover to cover and can give it my best recommendation. It is a must-have text that should be on the desk of everyone working in this area of child protection

In 2003, when I first committed to bone pathology, I was midway through my soft tissue fellowship. My mentor recommended Dorfman’s Bone Tumors as the necessary text for developing mastery in bone. At that time, I found it an excellent guide and companion; however, I was eager for the second edition to be published. Much was changing in bone pathology; there were new molecular tests and insights and improvements in therapy and imaging. There were also shifts in publishing: I longed for more extensive color plates so that I could better compare my observations to those in this treasured book. At long last, the second edition is here!Like the first edition, the second edition of Bone Tumors is a book for people who love bone pathology. Although there are a number of atlases and pattern-based approaches to bone pathology, as well as the canonical WHO Pathology and Genetics of Tumours of Soft Tissue and Bone, none of these references has the space to go into the depth that a true bone pathologist requires. Such references typically have only a few images, a bit of radiologic correlation and a thin differential diagnosis before the next entity is presented. While this may suffice in a busy private practice, where confirming straightforward entities and triaging specimens for outside consults are the goals, the pathologist who really wishes to appreciate the subtlety and nuances of bone pathology and who desires a deep understanding of the pathophysiology and clinical ramifications must read Dorfman and Czerniak’s Bone Tumors.The introductory chapter on general considerations is exhaustively complete and serves not only as an introduction to bone pathology, but even some basic concepts of surgical pathology. Some readers may find the introductory chapters too basic; for example, there is a figure explaining the process of flow cytometry and another cartoon demonstrating how immunohistochemical stains work. However, I think this more comprehensive approach is acceptable and will ultimately be of great benefit to housestaff.The chapters are organized in typical fashion for a bone pathology book: “Benign osteoblastic tumors”, “Osteosarcoma”, “Benign cartilage lesions”, etc. Each chapter has a general introduction to the topic followed by detailed examination of each entity, including definition, incidence and location, clinical symptoms, radiographic imaging, gross findings, microscopic findings, differential diagnosis and treatment and behavior. This is followed by “Personal comments”, which relays additional insights based on the authors’ extensive experience. These addenda are expanded in the current edition and are quite valuable.It is impressive just how comprehensive Bone Tumors is: for example, Bone Tumors dedicates 147 pages to osteosarcoma, in contrast to just 15 pages in the WHO and 30 to 40 pages in most atlas/pattern-based texts. Many of these additional pages are dedicated to beautiful histologic images that convey the wide range of histologic features that can be seen. The radiologic findings are described with sufficient detail that extensive radiology experience is not necessary. Finally, the differential diagnosis focuses on relevant entities to be considered and offers excellent guidelines to exclude the incorrect diagnosis.One of the challenges in the earlier edition was that the index was frequently inaccurate. I spot checked a handful of items and the index was right on. References have been updated throughout the book and although there are a few recent references that could have been added, relevant advances have been appropriately covered.I unreservedly recommend this book for anyone serious about bone pathology. Although there are other references that are adequate for day-to-day use, Dorfman and Czerniak’s Bone Tumors is the essential reference for the serious practitioner and belongs on the desk of anyone who signs out bone pathology.

By Jerad Gardner Textbook Review: Dorfman and Czerniak's Bone Tumors, 2nd Edition (currently $250 on Amazon.com). Reviewed by Jerad Gardner, MD, on 22 April 2015.In 1998, Dorfman and Czerniak published their landmark text/atlas on bone tumors. This was before my entry into medical school, and well before I knew that I would become a bone and soft tissue pathologist. During my fellowship, I learned about the fame of this book and wanted to obtain my own copy. To my chagrin, I found that it was out of print and that used copies were selling for $1000 on Amazon! I actually seriously considered buying one (even while living on only a fellow’s salary!); clearly if a 10 year old used textbook was selling for that much, then it must be amazing. Fortunately, after years of waiting, pathologists no longer face this difficult dilemma. The second edition of Dorfman and Czerniak's Bone Tumors was published in 2015. I got my hands on the new text immediately, but I wanted to wait to review it so as to see how I actually ended up using the book in my practice. It is easy to flip through a new textbook and say that it has pretty pictures and is great, but it is much more meaningful to put it through the paces for a while and to see how it stands up to the test of real world diagnostic challenges. It may be pretty to look at, but is it actually practical and useful? After turning to this textbook multiple times while a complicate bone biopsy slide sat on my microscope stage, I can say the answer here is a definite “yes”. Bone Tumors is now one of the first sources I turn to when I need to distinguish between subtle diagnostic nuances, when I need to know if a particular unusual feature may rarely occur in a given entity, or when I need practical guidance on how to handle a diagnostic challenge that will impact patient care. Of course, there are also numerous high quality color gross and microscopic pathology images as well as excellent radiographs; these are both practical and aesthetically pleasing. If you diagnose neoplastic bone pathology specimens in your practice, then this book is an absolute essential and should be on your bookshelf at arm’s reach.Jerad M. By EveNew Not only was this a great follow up to the first book but the author continued to give the reader fantastic new characters to enjoy. I appreciated the full line up of diverse and delicious female roles in this book. There's one eyed Gunny Jo, the incomparable Laura Trujillo, pink haired Mandy, smart and savvy Emma Nelson and my favorite; the bad-ass Cat. These woman are not falling down, running away, a'waitin' for a man to save them... and it's GLORIOUS!(If you love strong female characters as much as I do, you should read, "Memoirs of a Timelord" by this same author. You won't want the story to end. )I'm always wary of sequels but this book greatly exceeded my expectations. Be prepared to binge read!!

All ages, races, sexes, sexual preferences and social standings are represented. If you cannot relate to any of these characters then you are not an American. Injecting dignity back into wounded vets...love it! Agent Nelson and JC...LMFAO!!! All preppers secretly want an EOW event to happen so we can use all the crap we've spent thousands of dollars on...scary.

Every spare moment had me back on my tablet. Please let there be a "Season 3". I need to know if and how they survive the nuclear winter. Does Alex get back with his wife (and exactly what was he doing up on the hill back in S1 and will he see his sister again). And where does life go on for Cat and Colby, Cici and Mickey, Mack, Gunny Jo and her mates. What more trouble will the town counsel cause. Lurking in the shadows the remains of the government and the desperation of dealing with millions of starving and dying citizens. And exactly why was there an archeology dig at where the castle (did the government MOAB Tucson)? If so did all the genetic material from the Castle get saved to jump start the world after the freeze?Lots and lots of unfinished threads. PLEASE let there be a S3.BTW, how is Elan doing over in Camelot?

I own my own business and this book was really helpful with suggestions and plans to grow your team and make it stronger. I gave it five stars and would reccommend this book to entrepreneurs, writers, bloggers, and any other team building opportunities. It explains about rudimentary traits such as desire self-improvement, specialization, flexibility, patience, mutual respect and being a great leader are the main points of the book.The author states that you get to know your team members and use their each individual strengths to strengthen your team. Also becoming a great leader is an important role of success. Becoming a great leader in the authors eyes is understanding your team members, make them feel appreciated, and be a role model cause they will follow. So if you are late for a meeting or negative all the time, you will be too. I feel this book is even a good read for parents or coaches. This book is worth every penny you spend.

By Carrie Kilgore Recipe for success: first, take one middle-aged, fat, balding man whose life is coming apart at the seams...Journalstone's Doubledown Series, book VI gives us two stories that share this similar start (Paleo by David Liss and The Doomsday Prepper by Eileen Curtwright--flip the book over to see the second title). Both highly entertaining and well-written, each with a man wandering into improbable and finding a way to survive... and thrive. My telling you more can only spoil the great fun, so I'll simply recommend both stories with a hearty thumbs-up. I confess that once I began, I could put neither down. At 73 and 107 pages, they're both breezy fun that most can easily romp through in a sitting. Such fun that I'll be hanging on to this book and swinging through them again.

By MIKEM This is the sixth entry in the Journalstone Press Doubledown series, in which two short novels (or novellas) are combined in one volume. The themes are often horror, or at least out of the mainstream, and often contain similar or related motifs. These two stories are both set in somewhat normal suburban American neighborhoods where things go very, very wrong, and both contain a fairly high level of humor. In "Paleo" by David Liss, a fairly ordinary guy who works as a real estate inspector, becomes involved with a group who honor ancient spirits and try to live like our most ancient ancestors. Things quickly go wrong! In "The Doomsday Prepper" by Ellen Curtright", a fairly ordinary guy who works as an insurance salesman becomes involved with a group who are preparing (prepping) for the EOD (End of Days). Things quickly go wrong! These are both clever stories, entertainingly told. Recommended

Paleo is a strange story about a group of men who are on the paleo diet and live like cavemen. A middle-aged man joins the group and finds out just how powerful the spirit animals are.The second story is about preppers. A man and his family struggle to survive the EOT. End of times.These stories had unlikable characters and it is a struggle to finish the stories. The second story is interesting but goes nowhere.

Thanks for sending me a copy of this Michele, it did great to me!I was frustrated with my lack of motivation to exercise, and diminishing capabilities that fed my laziness. The author conveys common sense applications and methodologies to allow everyone at any age and fitness level to keep limber.I wish I had this knowledge to integrate into my sports routines and all those fun activities, which later resulted in injuries and worn out muscles and joints.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. it is nice to have this book that narrows it all down By Shute With so much information out there on how to keep yourself looking young, it is nice to have this book that narrows it all down! It contains information on preventing wrinkles, the importance of exercising, reducing stress, and eating well. There is even information on how to make your own, natural products! I especially like the emphasis on enjoyment (like travel, spending time with family, etc.) and an important part of the anti aging process!

Gilbert is very knowledgeable and credible in the manner in which she explains the effects of exercise (good and bad) on our bodies. The amount or research that has gone into this book is evident. I now understand how our bodies are designed to move and also how damaging many other exercise programs have been. I will definitely keep this book as a reference.
