About the Author Jeremy Kirk Jeremy is a veteran foreign correspondent who has reported from a dozen countries. He’s covered general assignment news for his hometown paper in Illinois, military affairs in South Korea and information technology from London and Sydney. He’s been verbally abused in Korean for trying to cover a story on dog meat, hung out on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier, unintentionally caused Bill Gates to get angry at a press conference and tried to keep Julian Assange’s eyes from wandering during a brief interview. In one poorly planned foray, he also floated way too close to North Korea’s border on a rickety raft made of bamboo. For the last 10 years, Jeremy has worked for IDG News Service, an internal wire service for IDG’s large family of technology publications including Computerworld, PC World and Macworld. He specializes in computer security, privacy, enterprise software and startups, and is an all-around general assignment reporter and part-time editor. Jonathan Englert Jonathan is a noted communications strategist specializing in disruptive technology, cybersecurity and the sharing economy. Great primer on why communications matter By Adam Bender This is a great primer that is sure to make startups think more seriously about communications in all aspects of the business. The authors have extensive experience on both the PR and media side of the equation and share some great examples of what can help -- and what can kill -- a young business. No Dead Moneys is a relatively short book, and I think there's definitely potential for the authors to use it as the first part in a larger and more comprehensive volume. However, as a quick reference that can be looked back at many times, No Dead Monkeys makes for an indispensable little eBook.

George The story line reminds of just how bad the financial world has become and how the very few who control everything from behind the scenes are just ripping everybody up. To me this is a serious lesson presented with humour.Anyone can relate to it and being in this form, it’s a lot easier to read and digest. Tobias did a really good of saying what’s on the minds of those who know that things are not as they seem to be. The characters or larger than life and portrays what the common man on the streets faces just to survive.One lesson that stood out for me was that; there is a price for every single choice we make every day. The problem is in not knowing what the full price is most of the time. Knowing that of course will help us to make the right decisions but we can’t most time so one should be ready to live the consequences of the choices that he makes.

Great story, excellent plot, no editor [Review Updated] By IED Hunter [UPDATE: After this review was initially posted, the author has had the book professionally edited and re-released. In my opinion, the book is now completely deserving of five stars, and I am updating this review accordingly. I would gladly give the author another five stars for the absolutely superb job he did of flawlessly handling of the reader reviews posted here. He has earned my avid readership, and my sincere thanks for turning an excellent story into one that I can now enjoy re-reading to my hearts content.Following is the review as I originally wrote it.]Excellent plot, with a refreshingly unique style. With so many cookie cutter writers in the eBook universe now, it's nice to see a new author that doesn't copy his style or technologies en mass from the prevailing popular authors of the military sci-fi genre.I would recommend this book without reservation, were it not for the annoying and ever-present grammar, punctuation and typographical errors. I realize that I'm only paying $3 for the book, but that doesn't mean that I don't expect a finished product. But as distracting as these things were, the story was an excellent read and kept me hooked until the very end. With the help of an editor, this author will have an awesome career ahead of him.

It started out a little slow, but picked up quickly and the combat scenes were very enjoyable. Reminded me in places of David Weber and John Ringo's works, and since I love those too, I quite enjoyed this. It was an interesting take on military space technology that I haven't specifically seen before so that was fun as well. Once I got into it, I couldn't put it down. It had a preview for the sequel, and I already plan to get that when it comes out. I specifically got the kindle app for this book, and don't regret it for a moment. There were a few minor typos, but I run into just as many in some so-called professional novels, so that wasn't a huge turn off for me.

I looked through the old reviews of this book before I selected it to review and noted that many complained about the lack of editing, bad grammar, repetitive word usage, and so on. It is my opinion that the editors of the "remastered edition" have successfully eliminated most of those issues. I don't have much tolerance for poorly edited books and I didn't experience any heartburn over the editing of this volume. I never once considered throwing it against the wall in frustration.Into the Black: Odyssey One has all the elements of a good, old fashioned space opera: a heroic captain, a faithful and competent crew, aliens (both good and evil), spaceships, and big honkin' space battles. I thought that the book had a bit of a retro feel, taking me back to a period of time in the 1970s when I spent about a year reading nothing but sci-fi, with a heavy dose of space opera.My only real criticism of the book is that feels flat. The characters weren't quite fleshed out. I liked them well enough, but didn't fall in love with them. The space battles didn't quite manage to evoke the tension that keeps you turning the pages well after you should have gone to bed. I didn't *feel* the loss of crew members and ground troops. I wasn't deeply dismayed and horrified by the devastation caused by the Drasin.As you can tell by the fact that I rated this book 4 stars, I did like it. I enjoyed reading it. It is not perfect, but the strengths outweighed the weaknesses for me. The ending of this book leaves things open for a sequel or two (or more). I liked this book well enough to read the next one and well enough to recommend it to fans of this genre.

This book is the 2nd in the trilogy of Kira's saga and it is just as good as the first, "The Healer's Legacy", which is saying a lot! In searching for Kira's people on her mother's side, Kira, Milos, Vaith and Kelmir travel to the Isle of Eilar, which is a land very different from what they've seen before, inhabited by people with unique abilities. It is such a great story and its going to be so very difficult waiting for the 3rd book to come out.I have read several of Sharon's books and am a devout fan! The stories that she tells can be enjoyed by both younger and older fans, alike. Sharon creates characters that have depth and weaves their stories in such a descriptive way that you are right there, seeing their stories unfold, and feeling their emotions. I find myself torn between needing to know what happens next while at the same time, not wanting the book to end! Thank you Sharon for another great adventure!

Mrs. Skinner has a special gift for writing characters that are so easy to get attached to, while at the same time giving us at least one that we love to hate. This book begins where the last book left off, and leaves you wanting more! I excitedly wait for the third and final installment of Kira's story. If you haven't yet read The Healer's Legacy I highly suggest you start there.

Luckily Alex still has her broadsword and Kylie still has her mace. But how will they be able to save Clara, Marcus and all of Crookshollow. If anyone can it's Alex and gang. Alex if fierce and ingenious. This book has more humor I think. All three have some tongue in cheek comments, but this one is actually funny in spots. And he end is both action packed and sweet. 5 bright twinkling stars!

I have read all three books and they are amazing! A continuing story from book 1 to this book 3! I first read book 1 in the Things That Go Hump in the Night! I loved it so I went searching for books 2 and 3!! Totally worth it! So far I have loved the anthology, so that is a must buy people!!! Then go read Steffanie Holmes's last 2 books! She is an awesome writer!!! Thank you, Ms. Holmes, for exceptional reads!!!!

Also, I really liked how the book did NOt drag on to have 32 parts to the book which end up making it more expensive to purchase than a regular length book if you are not a member of kindle unlimited. I would read more books from this author.
