This book is the 2nd in the trilogy of Kira's saga and it is just as good as the first, "The Healer's Legacy", which is saying a lot! In searching for Kira's people on her mother's side, Kira, Milos, Vaith and Kelmir travel to the Isle of Eilar, which is a land very different from what they've seen before, inhabited by people with unique abilities. It is such a great story and its going to be so very difficult waiting for the 3rd book to come out.I have read several of Sharon's books and am a devout fan! The stories that she tells can be enjoyed by both younger and older fans, alike. Sharon creates characters that have depth and weaves their stories in such a descriptive way that you are right there, seeing their stories unfold, and feeling their emotions. I find myself torn between needing to know what happens next while at the same time, not wanting the book to end! Thank you Sharon for another great adventure!

Mrs. Skinner has a special gift for writing characters that are so easy to get attached to, while at the same time giving us at least one that we love to hate. This book begins where the last book left off, and leaves you wanting more! I excitedly wait for the third and final installment of Kira's story. If you haven't yet read The Healer's Legacy I highly suggest you start there.

Luckily Alex still has her broadsword and Kylie still has her mace. But how will they be able to save Clara, Marcus and all of Crookshollow. If anyone can it's Alex and gang. Alex if fierce and ingenious. This book has more humor I think. All three have some tongue in cheek comments, but this one is actually funny in spots. And he end is both action packed and sweet. 5 bright twinkling stars!

Also, I really liked how the book did NOt drag on to have 32 parts to the book which end up making it more expensive to purchase than a regular length book if you are not a member of kindle unlimited. When I first read a short by Autumn Kalquist in The Telepath Chronicles, I quickly searched for all her books and purchased more. This one was given as a gift for leaving a review of the one's I purchased. She is an excellent author, drawing me into a future world and leaving me thirsting for more. Each short, Each book, sinks it's teeth further into my mind as I find myself reflecting on the future world she has created. It's not always a happy world with a perfect ending. This book captures the oppression of certain classes and the cruelty of those on top. I really love the stories she has spun and can't wait to delve deeper into a world that has come so alive on paper. (Or kindle)

Maybe the others in the series would complete the story but we're just left hanging. So many authors, these days, seem to want to write a 3-4 book series but at times the story wanting to be told just cannot be broken up like that. I believe this is one of those cases.

Another wonderful story from Autumn Kalquist By Kaleena Rheeya "A Better World" is the fifth book/novelette/short story I have read from Autumn Kalquist. The writing style in her books continues to be superb. This book happens before "The Legacy Code" but after "Defect 1 and 2" and "318." If you want to read the books in chronological order, I would recommend starting with 318 and then the Defect shorts before checking this out. I liked the development of the characters in this story. It was also exciting to see a familiar character's earlier days. I look forward to investing myself further in Autumn's created universe.Brief Note: I did receive a free copy of the book from the author as a thank you for reviewing "Paragon."
