7 of 8 people found the following review helpful. outstanding By Jon Frederickson Wilberg's book is by far the best one written on the implications of Heidegger's work for the field of psychotherapy. Suddenly the Zollikon seminars make sense in a totally new light. He takes Heidegger's comments on objectification and reveals how our scientized manner of viewing the human person prevents us from listening to our own being or the being of the patient. Even if you are not interested in Heidegger, any therapist should purchase the book to read what he has to say about listening. I found it radically shifted my understanding of what it meant to listen to myself or someone else. A remarkable book.

The book was returned as soon as it arrived. Be certain to use the "Look Inside" feature to determine whether this text is for you.
