The Secrets Of The Young And Rich is not so much a book about how to get rich as it is a book about how to change your behavior and mindset regarding money, with becoming rich a side effect of wealth-building behaviors. Saving money and investing requires focus and good planning, so the focus of this book being on how one thinks and acts regarding money makes a lot of sense. I think a lot of the advice is sound, and will definitely help those looking to grow their savings. If you want to become rich, this is a good place to start.

James J Owens First High Lord of the Death Dealers has gone through a truly life changing experience, from a 97 year old man to a teenage girl. No, she has to deal with learning how to be more than just a normal teenager. First there is the fact that she is the Head of House for one of the most powerful High Families in all of the Empire. For someone who came from one of the poorest planets in all of the Empire where manners were a luxury, and just getting enough to eat on a daily basis is a challenge, she has to learn how to be a Lady of breeding. As a soldier and front line officer for the Death Dealers courtly etiquettes was not high on their training list. Now, she has to learn how to walk, talk, sit, and everything else like a High Families Lady of the Empire. To add to this fact she also has to deal with trying to return that House to its rightful place within the Political structure of the Empire. Over the past twenty years the High Family House of Nakatoma has slowly fallen out of power not only in the Imperial Parliament, and Hall of Lords, but also in the Hades Planetary Government System. Several High Families have used the very laws of the Planetary System to drive the once great House almost to its knees and with it the people of Hades and the Death Gates System. Seeking to use legal methods Maiha has used her rightful powers as the True Head of House for the Nakatoma Family and First High Lord of the Death Dealers to have these corrupted High Family Members arrested. Their response was to send assassins to kill her and her family; then declare war on House Nakatoma and the Empire. The rebels thought they could just threaten Maiha Mana Nakatoma into following their plans. They made two mistakes. First they underestimated the Daughter of Death. There is a saying among Death Dealers. Never use a gun when a knife will do. However James Owens never fully abided by this saying. Maiha preferred a blunter saying. The proper amount of high explosives can solve any problem. For Maiha this meant that she was not holding back in her plans to destroy the rebels. For the teenage girl who was once one of the most feared man in all of the Empire the answer is simple. If the traitors don’t want to face the courts then she shall give them what they want. WAR! For the teenage girl who was once the man called Death it is the only answer. She would bring down the full fury that belongs to her House Military and the divisions of Death Dealers that have been waiting in deep space to act as backup for her. They say Hell has no fury like a woman scorned. There is one thing wrong with that statement. No one ever took into account what a female Death Dealer would do when pissed off. This is the second mistakes the rebels have made when they tried to kill her new family. For Maiha Nakatoma formally James Owens there is no greater crime. The rebels made the greatest sin when they violated the Holy Trinity of Thou Shall not Screw With, and Maiha is now going to make they pay with their lives. But I must say that the editing is horrible, and the logic holes are crazy. The first 3 books happen in about 2 weeks. It's just silly how fast some of the things happen.I have to add again since this says it has 3 editors. Fire them all, then edit it 5 more times, then proofread it 10.

It's interesting that the first three books were released on the same day, but the last two appear in November. The character development is moving along and kept my interest all the way through. Minor typos scattered throughout, but I'm picking up the third book now that it's available.

Misuse of to/too. Each error dropped me out of the story with a, "huh?" Clean up the spelling and 4 stars await.

The reason I gave it 4 stars, is because the oil pulling part conflicts with other books I have read on Coconut oil. I do believe you need to do the oil pulling for at least 20 minutes, but I am going to say..I think doing it for any length of time is better than not doing it at all. A good book for learning about Coconut Oil.

Who knew you could enjoy fats, get healthier and even lose weight. Check out the latest research on fats and you'll want to cook with it too. Then, as long as you have that jar in your cupboard, get this book to discover its many other versatile and money-saving uses.

A great intro to coconut oil By Stephen Reed I've long been interested in the use of coconut oil for health, both for ingestions, and for use externally. This high quality, saturated fat is incredibly healthy, and a good source of medium chain triglycerides (MCT), much revered by lovers of 'bulletproof coffee'. I 'don't do the coffee, but I do use coconut oil for cooking and as a skin care product.This book offers some really good information on coconut oil, and how to use it for best effect. A good and interesting read

By Stemen And Associates This book, The War Within: Combating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder with the Help of God helped me to understand the nuance of the soldiers in the movie, The American Sniper. It helped me to understand what was happening while the soldiers were in Iraq and when they returned home from war. Dr. Haymon explained what PTSD was and how it affects it victims. He also explained Traumatic Limb Loss and Traumatic Brain Injury. Other topics Dr. Haymon covered were how the memory works, the process of grieving, and why many trauma victim seek relief through drugs, alcohol and sex. This book is an excellent resource for soldiers, soldier's families, victims of sexual abuse and people who have experienced life's traumas. I Highly recommend this book to Christian and people of Faith because of its spiritual components and scriptures' references!

The book demonstrates that the word of God alon g with the appropriate treatment assessment and evaluation can positively change disfunctional behaviours where individuals can live a successful live. It's an outstanding book and demonstrat ion of the power of God.

There is an undercurrent, an under storyline that does not make sense until nigh near the end. I am still not sure why this under storyline is needed, it is more of a stand alone book, the two stories do not seem to jive.That said, this had a nice romance/mystery line running through it. Claire O'Neill has come home to Ohio, she is escaping a marriage she can't quite face. She is a baker, and has made arrangements sight unseen for an old building to be made into a new bakery. And, her grandmother, who is now in an old age home, has left her house to Claire or Neely as she is known. The same builder has redone much of her home. So, as she rides up in her rental truck, life a new begins.Tbroughout the book, as Neely is trying to make her bakery a go. We are introduced to people in the 1800's, 1944 and then the present. This older timeline as I have said does not fit and was annoying to begin with. It was not until the end when 2+2 started to add up, that I became interested. A lot of characters in this book, most of them have a place, and this is the story I wanted. No recipes intertwined, only lots of different kind best of butter creams, cakes and infusers, cupcakes, cookies, frostings, early morning cupcakes, coffee cakes, rolls, lots of cinnamon, and more, but no recipes to share.Neely also can feel a taste when she meets someone new, a salty, or sweet, or orange mousse taste in her mouth. Thus gives her a feel for what kind of person this is, and what they may want in a bakery product. And, as the book says along with the cake, she provides silence or reverence or advice. I would imagine this will expand if more books are baked. The secrets she finds, she is able to find some sort of answer. And, her marriage, well, go eat cake.Recommended. prisrob 05-04-15

More serious than frothy By Jaylia With all its descriptions of exquisite, deliciously flavored baked goods this is the kind of book that makes you hungry. The story isn't the light, frothy confection I was expecting though (based on the cover I have to admit.) Instead it's a sometimes troubling tale of unraveling secrets. Claire "Neely" O'Neil moves back to her hometown in Ohio to open a bakery, Rainbow Cake, because her marriage is failing. She's reunited with her old friends from high school, but is often anxious and maybe even a little depressed by her situation. Her ability to "taste" feelings and match people to the flavors they need is interesting but isn't used often.During Claire's part of the story the narrative is in the first person, but there's also a story line set in the past and those sections switch to the third person. It took me a long time to understand the significance of the second story line, so I had some trouble maintaining interest whenever we jumped back in time and it slowed the book down for me. Still, I understand this is the first of a series I'd like to see where the author takes it next.

After years in New York City working as a pastry chef, Claire returns home after the demise of her marriage. She is putting everything into her Rainbow Cake Bakery, hoping that her gift for tasting feelings can translate into success. Things are off to a good start, until Claire starts getting an unpleasant taste in her mouth. Something isn't right in Millcreek. When she interacts with her clients and neighbors, Claire is able to uncover bit by bit the history of some of the people and their secrets. Will Claire learn the truth about the long ago story that haunts her?What I Liked:*I personally adore a magical realism book that is all about comfort and coziness. The Cake Therapist combines several things that I love from a small town, cozy bakery, delicious and decadent sweet treats, a small town mystery and a sprinkle of magic. This book had me craving cake and cupcakes. If you want a sweet read that is perfect for when you crave something on the light and fluffy side, grab a copy of Cake Therapist. My best advice, don't read this while you are hungry.*I was surprised at first by the way the book came together. It starts out in the modern day following Claire as she establishes her new bakery. Then you get these flashbacks, the first going back to 1908 and then the subsequent ones are around the WWII era. At first, I found the visits to the past jarring, as I wasn't sure how they related to the story. *However, as the book progressed with each flashback, more details were uncovered, and I soon found myself invested in the story of Olive and Edie. It wasn't exactly clear how these events tied into the story, but patience pays off, and by the end, everything fit, and I was satisfied with the way it all played out. I ended up enjoying the blending of the past with the present. Just be patient while reading this, it will all become clear.*This book has two plots, one that follows the mystery of the ring and the sisters in the past, and then Claire's story in the future. Claire's journey is one of transformation as she comes home, establishes a bakery and sets out to use her talent of taste and uncovering secrets. I liked watching Claire work her magic, especially when she does wedding cake tastings. By the end, Claire has come a long way, and I liked the new path she set herself on. I am interested to follow up on her journey in the second book.*I adored Rainbow Cake Bakery. There is something so relaxing and pleasant when reading a book that takes you into the cozy confines of a bakery. I loved reading about all the different cakes, cupcakes and treats that were baked in the bakery. There is lots of detail and description, you can almost taste the treats. Don't read this one while you are hungry or you will find yourself with a huge hankering for something sweet.*This book has a rather large cast of characters, and I found myself engaged and interested in the different personalities and stories. There are so many interesting side stories from Jett, the young goth baker, to the budding romance between the Professor and Maggie, as well as the interesting romance between Roberta and Thomas. If you like books with lots of small sideline storylines and a big, eclectic cast, immerse yourself into the lives of the folks in Millcreek.*I am a big fan of magical realism. In this book, Claire has a unique gift for being able to taste flavors when coming into contact with others, and once she opens herself up to the flavors someone is putting off, she can sees glimpses into their past and learns some of their secrets. I thought the whole idea with the magical flavors was fun and unique.*The ending is a bit fast and abrupt, it doesn't end on a cliffhanger, but I was a bit perplexed that the book concluded, there were many stories that weren't played out. I was relieved to learn that there is a second book coming, and hopefully there are more in the works. I am anxious to read The Memory of Lemon.And The Not So Much:*One thing that I felt held this book back was that it lacked focus. It was as if the story took on too much. While I liked the various characters and their stories, I was a bit disappointed that more of the side stories didn't come to fruition. I felt this book bit off more than it could chew. I think it would have benefitted by not having so many secondary plots and characters, and by bringing more story lines to a close before adding new ones.*The ending was fast paced in comparison to the rest of the book. It ended a abruptly, and I was left with a few nagging questions. I didn't realize going in that this was the first book in a series. I am relieved that more story is coming as I am anxious to follow up on Maggie, Jett, Ben, Claire's father and more.*Claire returns home after her marriage falls apart. I was a bit frustrated that there wasn't a bit more depth and detail on her marriage. There are tidbits of information dropped here and there so the reader can piece together a general idea of what happened, but this is one area of the story that needed more depth. It is a big and important part of Claire's journey and I wanted a clearer picture of her life with Luke.*The one thing that bothered me regarding the story in the past, was that it was never revealed who Edie's attacker was. Was he the one who left the shoe?The Cake Therapist was a sweet, cozy read that was unique. I liked the magical realism and the way the author blended the past and the present. The Rainbow Bakery with all of its decadent treats makes the book shine. It does have a large cast of characters and many side stories, so if you aren't one that likes multiple points of view and numerous secondary story lines, you might not like this. I personally loved the eclectic cast of characters and their stories. Grab this book with a sweet treat and cozy up for a delightful read.
