About the Author
An American Armenian born in Iran, Armineh Helen Ohanian was a published author at age fifteen.
Armineh is the author of three novels and a children storybook series the Talking Animals.
The Apple Tree Blossoms in the Fall is a highly acclaimed creative memoir. This book earned honorable mention in the category of biography and autobiography at the 2014 LA Book Festival. In 2012 Armineh was invited to Oxford University in the United Kingdom to hold a book signing and talk about her memoir during the university's International Women's Day celebrations.
Armineh has lived in Europe and the United States since 1962. Currently she lives in Westhampton, New York, with her husband and three cats. She is passionate about writing, reading, playing tennis, and driving sports cars.

She tells the story in her own inimitable voice of her curious, yet joyful life after death. Beginning at her own funeral, the narrative takes us to Planet Heaven, which is blissfully described. The author proceeds to travel around Planet Heaven, on a playful adventure. She returns to her beloved Iran (where women are free to wear what they like), she crosses to the US to witness Elvis performing ‘Only You’ in concert, and she then ascends up above the clouds to have a glass of wine with Jesus (who of course fashioned it from water).As much as ‘Looking for Georges…’ is a playful and curious story, it also inspires a number of thought provoking theological theories.The protagonist doesn't shy away from the questions we all want answering -Is damnation necessarily eternal? Do animals have souls? Is redemption possible?The narrator’s voice is distinct throughout – gentle, humorous, unafraid and highly original.

Seemlessly mixing fantasy and creative memoir, the author takes us on a journey to the afterlife, which peculiarly mirrors life on Earth, albeit in a rosier light.What strikes me most in this book is the sincerity of the author. The reader identifies with the universal wish to live a better life. Well, this book makes it possible, in true Christian spirit, on Planet Heaven. Congratulations!I don't particularly like to think of death but this author succeded in making me think and not simply be distracted. Thank you!

By Brigitte Nioche A charming, entertaining story that makes turning the pages easy.This unique idea of heaven and earth makes me hope that there is aPLANET HEAVEN when I am ready to go. Ms Ohanian's playful wayof transporting us from one to the other is most engaging. Thank youfor an entertaining read.
