By Nereid Where do I start, I am truly gobsmacked by the ending of this book and can I say that I did not see that one coming. It better not end like that or I will have to cyber stalk the author (in a good way of course). It felt like it took forever for Ry and Colton to come to terms with their feelings for each other and I liked how it was not this "instant love" that is so common in these types of books. It felt more real this way and their attraction to each other taking a back seat compared to Draven's thirst for power and the constant abductions not knowing if Ryanne would survive this time.Ryanne was such a likeable character, someone I would call a friend if she actually existed whose selflessness and loyalty far outweigh her insecurity and naivete. I would almost clap my hands in glee when Draven was thwarted yet again and don't get me started on Adam, there is a bullet out there somewhere with his name on it. This book pushed all my buttons, tons of magic and mayhem, action packed and a sweet romance while they are trying to save the world,lots of hotties to drool over and a storyline that keeps getting better with every book.Larkin is a favourite of mine, I love how he keeps winding Colton up by making sexy comments to Ry and while it is harmless as she does not care about him that way it is entertaining. Great group of friends all round, Liam is the brother she never had and he is a great extension to her small family. Someone who has no agenda but who genuinely cares about her wellbeing and having the ability to sense when she is in trouble, most of the time anyway. Friend will become enemies and new alliances will be formed and the "movie quotes" are endearing and make me smile. I totally recommend this series if you like adventure and heartstopping tragedy with bittersweet moments of love and redemption.

Ms. Hoyt is a talented young writer and one of the best Indie authors I have read (of any genre). She can certainly compete with the best published YA authors as well. I anxiously awaited the release of this book and having finished reading it in just one day was not disappointed! The action, character growth, and relationship development was great! I'm really looking forward to reading the final book and hope I don't have to wait too long to do so!

Interesting plot but needs a lot more work on plot, character and delivery to keep it from falling flat By Diane Simmons This story/series needed a lot more work before releasing.Characters are flat, one dimensional because there is not enough character development -- main character's inner dialogue was almost nonexistent, nonverbal expression in dialogue that brings us closer to feelings of characters and gives context was totally missing. Plot is annoyingly repetitious, meandering for action/romance--one thing does not lead to another necessarily. I only read this entire series as an exercise to better understand what brings a story to life --and what things can kill an interesting concept! Desperately needs major revising to bring this up to par--DOA and flat!

By joellaco This is the experience a couple had when the husband contracted Clostridium difficile, (C. diff.). It isn't a feel good read, but the information is important. About 500,000 people a year contract C. diff. and many thousands die from it yearly. The book has excellent references and links to resources if you ever have to deal with this medical condition. The authors are former professors, and have provided excellent research for you.But there is another side to the book. It is a true love story. A wife ready to do anything to save her husband's life. A strong husband who has been stricken with a horrid medical condition. And how they come out on the other side together.

By Kindle Customer The authors write from experience, and because they also write from their hearts, this book balances dry facts with the emotion of a true story.Those hoping to learn more about C. Diff. will appreciate the in-depth and well-supported research and the many links to more information. But this is more than just facts--it's a witness to the strength of a rock-solid marriage, the compassion found in seemingly unlikely places, and the triumph of persistence--I'd like to say "in the face of," but that's the wrong end of one's anatomy--despite the suffering and humiliation of a condition that reduces its victims to being completely at the mercy of caregivers who often resent the kind of care they need to provide. Anyone who is dealing with this life-threatening bacteria needs to read this book! Those of us who aren't, need to read it as a precautionary tale. Thank-you for recognizing how badly we need to hear your story!

When I clicked on the hyperlinks I found all kinds of useful information about C. diff and the treatments that are used by different doctors. I now have the information I need to make good decisions. The story the couple tells is very interesting. He almost died but found a natural and easy way to get rid of the horrible diarrhea.

Far too simple to have any educational value for medical personnel; may be best used by the public who desire to understand the most basic ECG concepts and vocabulary. I did not validate the author's credentials, but this book reads as if it were written as a nursing school final assignment.
