About the Author Donald Hatter is a sales and marketing professional with more than 20 years of professional experience developing partnerships with global brands such as Wal-Mart, Shell Oil, American Airlines, ExxonMobil, Texas Instruments, Waste Management, Halliburton, Johnson & Johnson, and Visa. He also lends his expertise to innovative startups, mid-sized companies and regional organizations who seek him out for consulting, marketing leadership, training events and conferences. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the varsity football and varsity track & field teams. A must-read for anyone in sales By Casey Living Sales has never been my favorite area of business but it is, necessarily, a very large part of nearly any successful enterprise. I have been to my share of sales workshops and trainings over the years and many just concentrate on the same re-hashed sales tactics, over and over again. I loved author Donald Hatter's latest book, "10 Things Great Sales Leader Don't Do!" as it takes a look at some common mistakes in selling and gives the reader some clear direction for re-focusing on the things that matter when trying to get your products or services into the right hands. Very well written and a must-read for anyone involved in sales.

Just because you’re in that position doesn’t mean you always have the tools you need to succeed. Donald Hatter can help with that by offering sage advice on exactly how you can avoid blunders in your sales opportunities.I really like how this book was put together. Using 10 mistakes as examples to illustrate his points makes them all the more easy to understand.If you’re worried about your sales efforts or lack confidence in them, then this book can only help you. Hatter uses his extensive experience to help readers avoid some of the most common pitfalls.

I think this book sums it up--the "secrets." A list of what NOT to do is sometimes just as good to know as a list of what to do, and this book is a great example of that. This book is written well, and in a format that is accessible, clear, and to-the-point. By outlining 10 sales blunders and then elaborating on them, I think the author allowed me to gain more insight on how to be a better sales leader in just one book than all the information from other books of this sort that I've read. This book is definitely worth checking out.
