This was a recommend from a readers group and I picked it up, even though most very short books had been leaving me wanting. THIS ONE DID NOT. I am delighted to give the first review. Curvy and mouthy, yep even down on her luck she's not down on herself so much she doesn't say it like it is. She just didn't think she was saying it to the billionaire throwing the party. Working with the caterer, she was chatting with another employee during a lull or so she thought.He's delighted with her wit, her looks, her scent...you got it. She's his mate. After fulfilling his obligations he turns to find her only to discover she has plead ill and left.Finding her isn't going to be easy but with all the skills of a proud bear shifter he is on his way. He didn't plan to let her in on his other self quite so soon but fate steps in. Will she accept him? For him it is only a matter of when not if.Most shorts leave me wanting because there is no plot or character study--for me either or both is necessary. Ms Wolf managed to sneak in a quick study and give motivation for their actions.I thoroughly enjoyed this and highly recommend it for those times when you just need a little something but don't have time or interest in a long read.
