By Amazon Reviewer Working Los Angeles actor here.The book is poorly written with not very actionable advice, most of which seems to be author's theories on how the industry should work. The author clearly hasn't been in the game long enough (if at all).You'll get better advice for FREE if you simply use Google. If you want to be an actor, save yourself the $5 and avoid this books.

Boardroom to Blackbox isn't like the other books out there on how to succeed in the performing arts industry. Instead it gives clears and actually applicable advice on how to be better at what you do and how to use modern technology to give yourself a leg up. We have all worked with the cliche scattered, unorganized "artist" personality. Bassett gives some solid advice on how to still be the artist but not the cliche. I really liked it and my only complaint is there wasn't more.
