1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. I really enjoyed the book and thought it was well written By David Fulkerson I really enjoyed the book and thought it was well written. The author had obviously studied Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn and wanted to "finish the story" - or at least take it down the road. His style meshes well with Mark Twain's - although he doesn't try to COPY Twain's style, which would be impossible. I thought the life choices Tom and Huck took in this book were very believable and like Twain's story, Joyce "keeps it moving." I think this is a good story and well worth reading.

It's so boring to me and no, I'm not just a simple, flighty teenager writing this review. I am a mature woman in my 50's....I don't know what it is....the story which I've been told is a classic by Mark Twain is a complete bore to me ! Much of it is the outdated language they use and the aunt is always crying over Tom who keeps promising that he will be a good lad.Others might find the book exciting but I don't.
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. like all of Twains books By Kindle Customer Tom Sawyer, like all of Twains books, was flawless and deserves a 5 star rating; I downgraded this presentation of the book because of the poor, monotonous, robotic delivery by the reader. (Have you considered readings by those wonderful folks who read for Lighthouse for the Blind?)
