Informative, insightful, educational, and at times, witty, Ms. Katz proves the point that men comparing themselves to a peer-created "prototype" is futile. The range is vast, which is evident in the photos of the subjects. For this reviewer, I believe that the more my children know about male and female bodies and their forms, the less they will seek out outlandish, fake, sometimes grotesque images of men and women all to commonly found on the internet. The book is factual and realistic, not pornographic. Whether you are a parent, a doctor, a therapist, or someone who needs reassurance that he (or his or her partner) is like everyone else, The Private Square: Penises is for you.

Book review for The Private Square By Kathleen I have always said, "if you've seen one, you've seen them all" and after reviewing The Private Square, I realized I have been completely wrong. I am very impressed with the photographs, the detailed information and more importantly, the concept of the book. Ms. Katz removes the taboo of the topic.
