THE THIRD BOOK IN THE E SERIES Both friends and enemies are keen to get their hands on the information inside Eden’s head—information that could take down the Sentries and change the world. But there are costs that no one realized, and Eden’s not so sure she’s willing to pay them. Refusing to do so could create dangerous problems within the tribe she’s only just come back to. Eden has her own agenda for learning Lily’s secrets. With hope refusing to die, she’s spurred forward by memories of Oscar and thoughts of finding him again. But Lily’s hold on her is greater than she knows, compelling her to chase after strange clues and confusing visions. With love and longing weighing on her, Eden must determine the reality of her fractured identity in order to decide which path to take. The choices she makes could tear her away from Jonas and Apollon, from everything she’s ever known. Eden’s future will not be determined solely by choices. Fate has her own cards to play, and they just might take the game.

From the Author Eden is rather different from the other books in The E Series, in that it focuses more on Eden's internal conflict, identity, and search for her past. The book was written as a companion book with the prequel, Jason and Lily. Each of these books will give you a glimpse of Eden's life journey, but only together do they provide the whole picture. The intended reading order of the series is as follows:E, Evolution, Eden, Jason and Lily, Elegy....

By Tamara AlKurdi Review on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/25346996-eden?ac=1I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.4.5 stars. And Kate Wrath has done it again.Plot:Eden is stuck in a world she cannot comprehend. The past is consuming her, the unknown, is unknown. Eden goes on a hunt with he good friend, Apollon, while also faking a life she does not understand, Eden tries to discover what it is her old self tried to accomplish. Not only must Eden unravel the past, but she is also trying to fix what she has left behind, but through logic, it cannot be achieved.Jonas is trying really hard to change what the present holds rather than look back from what was, but ishe really as ignorant to the past as Eden is?While unleashing her past, Eden runs into the unthinkable, her life was more than just about finding Jonas and ending the Sentries for good.Hunted by her past, struggling with her present, Eden must balance it all while trying to save the little boy she left behind, and falling for Jonas all over again, yet cannot seem to distinguish her thoughts with Lily's.Characters:Eden: Eden has gotten a little more emotional as she progresses into a world of confusion, yet she still is that head headed girl she always was.Jonas: A little mysterious, alluring, yet annoying.Apollon: My favorite blond headed friend.Writing:The author has brought back her poetic style. While lacking a little in book 2, Wrath has given us a beautiful masterpiece with Eden, book 3. Descriptions, story, dialogue, it is all abundant from cover to cover. Honestly, her writing is probably my favorite from all other authors. Is so unique and strong."The first part is the hardest," I tell her, rambling on. I don't know if that's a lie. I'm certainly not finding it easy after all this time. And her experience was different from mine, wasn't it? I was scrambling for my life. So no. Maybe the first part isn't the hardest. Still it's a good lie, and I'm sticking with it.""Pounding, slamming, punching, fingers crunching. tangle arms and lungs and nothing working can't move can't breath- "Eden! Eden!" Jonas' voice explodes in my ear. "Goddammit stop this thing right now!" Panting- mine, his. A soft breath of voice. "It's OK. It's OK."""I risk a glance at him, hating that I'm already melting, with so little effort from him to make things right between us. He doesn't even give me an explanation. Not even a promise of an explanation."Kate Wrath also possesses this kind of humor that makes you laugh, cry and jump. Eden is so much things, and the author encompasses all the good and stubborn qualities a righteous person can claim all in a beautifully wrapped package.Dislikes:-Eden cried a bit too much.-Jonas frustrated me to no end. Why keep so much secrets? Is it to protect him, or Eden?-The story does not go to far in explaining thing. We get to understand so much more, yet left with more questions. The story goes by really slow, slower than it should, yet, even saying that, Wrath makes up the slowness and clarifies more about Eden while we wait for the action to arrive.Others:-I loved Wrath's dedication page and acknowledgements. It was really different. And I can tell it meant a lot.-The little preview for Jason and Lily, the prequel to E, was just too much. It is making me so anxious for the release date. And the little warning Wrath wrote made me laugh so loud at 3 AM in the morning.I really hope others could pick up this amazing series. It is all well written and so very very lovable.Cannot wait for the next books!

Kate jumps right in with both feet, eliminating the usual recap tedium that so often accompanies a series. The writing is rich and descriptive (I'm still itching from the cockroach scene), and the characters are lovably complex. I love Eden while simultaneously wanting to shake her. She could avoid so much turmoil if she had the courage to be emotionally vulnerable and communicative. It makes her relatable and infuriating. I'll update when I'm finished, but if you're new to this series, definitely start with book one, or you'll be totally lost.**Update 6//15/15** I finished this this morning (I was so into it that I made a command decision to be late for work). I can't say much without spoiling, but there are subtle things that go on here - don't skim! I have a tendency to skim when I get close to the climax of any book because I'm excited and can't wait to find out what's going to happen. This is not the book for that. There are important things taking place in the dialog; you don't want to miss a word! Kate is beautifully subtle in her storytelling here; more so than with the previous books, and it really does manifest and come to fruition in an interesting way. This is one you go slow with. Let the plot unfold as it will, and hang on for the ride.
