By Sue Kay Davis I WAS GIVEN THIS BOOK FOR AN HONEST REVIEW AND THIS IS MY HONEST OPINION OVER 18 READING I started this book just to see if I would like it, three hours later I was wishing for the next part because I didn't want to stop reading it. So it goes to say ,BOY, I hope it comes out soon. I will be chewing my nails to see what happens with Thomas and Ceres. Has she always just wanted him to be a tough , demanding Alpha ? Has she been playing him for years , just wanting to do something he would finally call a halt to and force her to behave? Is she just a rich, spoiled were-woman having her fun, not caring who gets hurt? You have a wonderful story of a young wolf girl who seemed to care a lot for her young human male friend in middle school. Nineteen years later they are still best friends, only he is the same as her , just not born that way. Of course he loves her secretly , and she doesn't seem to know or care . Even though he's been a werewolf for 19 years she doesn't see the quite, supportive, caring man as an alpha, and as a alpha's daughter she is expected to mate an alpha and become leaders of the pack. I will love to read more from this author.

In this book, we are introduced to Thomas, a man who was bitten and changed into a werewolf at a young age by Ceres, the daughter of the local Alpha. Set some time after he was changed, Thomas and Ceres now live together in a small town, Atropos, while Ceres finishes her schooling as a veterinarian and Thomas deals with his feelings for her. Intertwined with this story of their bonding are Thomas' trials to become the new Alpha of the sister pack being formed.The naming in this book can be clever and unusual in spots. For example, the story is set in Atropos - a town created by the author - which happens to be the name of one of the Greek Fates, specifically the Fate who cuts the threads. Given the events of the book, this town seems to be appropriately named.I really enjoyed this book. I first read it when it was published as the first part of a four part serial, but the author has since re-written the story and fleshed it out considerably, creating a wonderful culture and storyline that ties in with her other stories. If you've read some of her other books, it is great to meet and see references to characters you've already met and fallen in love with, and if you haven't it's a great introduction to the wider world of Vivienne Savage's shifter universe. The characters in all of the books are well-written, and Training the Alpha is no exception. You will quickly grow to love the main characters while hoping for the downfall of those who would hinder them, anticipating the next twist in the tale.Warning: This book contains explicit sex and adult language, menage situations, and violence. 18+ readers only.NOTE: This review has been re-written to accurately reflect the newly released book.I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

An amazing storyline of friendship and love. This book is the beginning of an awesome series I'm sure. Can longtime friends ever grow into love? This book is full of twists and turns, surprises and thrills. I highly recommend this book and hope you do, too. Can't wait for more.
