I t is a great privilege and delight for me as well as an honor and a challenge to write a foreword to this book on birth, death, life, beginnings and endings. It is probably one of the first books of the New Age written by a physician with a life-long experience in beginnings and ending. She is herself a remarkable woman who has shown an incredible sensitivity, openness and awareness, which comes only through personal growth, endless observation and an open mind, a searching for the truth and a willingness to step out of the ordinary paths to find new questions and new answers. I have known Gladys McGarey for thirty years. Since I have specialized in the ending of the physical existence and she has become an expert in the beginnings of this physical life, we formed an immediate affinity to each other and discovered that both of us, although in a different language perhaps, talked about the same experiences. Since birth is a transition from the spiritual existence to the physical world, so is death a step out of the physical world and a re-entry into the spiritual realm of which we are just beginning to know more and more. This book begins with an explanation of our inability to have any recall whence we came and describes it in a form of an angel of forgetfulness, who gently touches us the moment we decide to begin life again. And life naturally begins when the soul, the entity, enters the physical body to start a new existence in the physical world. We are here to grow, to learn, to have all the positive experiences that the physical world can offer. And when we have passed all the tests, we are allowed to graduate and return back to our original home.

About the Author Dr. Gladys (Taylor McGarey) M.D,M.D.(H), is internationally known for her pioneering work in holistic medicine, natural birthing and the physician-patient partnership. A founding member and past president of the American Holistic Medical Association, she also serves on a research committee of the Office of Alternative Medicine, and the National Institutes of Health. Dr. McGarey is a member of the International Advisory Board for the recently formed Institute for Natural Healing. Her work, through the Gladys Taylor McGarey Medical Foundation has helped to expand the knowledge and application of holistic principles through scientific research and education. Dr. McGarey is past president of the Arizona Board of Homeopathic Medical Examiners, and a member of the Board of Directors of the American Board of Holistic Medicine. I had read Children's Past Lives a long time ago and then I just read Return From Heaven - both by Carol Bowman and she had mentioned this doctor and her book.It is a wonderful book! Gladys McGarey doesn't condone abortion but is sensitive to a women's feelings on the subject and has different ideas to consider. I remember wishing that I had read this book before I had my abortion many years ago. Talking to your baby's spirit is such a beautiful idea! And perhaps I would have gone a different path with more insight!Gladys McGarey's experiences through her practice shed a whole new light on a very tender subject - abortion. This was not the only thing that she writes about in her book. Her whole spiritually on children is a very positive read!I will loan out my copy to my friends and family who are having a baby. I believe her ideas round out other ideas nicely.

To me, the stories in this book affirm the divine order of the circle of life and death. Positive food for comfort and positive thought for those who have experienced miscarriages or wonder if an abortion is the right choice to make. I consider myself very fortunate to have met the author and to have been a guest in her beautiful home. She is truly a great and gracious woman and healer.

Authentic and enlightening By MaryAnn The author has had a wealth of experience in her many years of practicing medicine.I am a huge Edgar Cayce fan and this doctor has integrity and determination to live and practice godly principles to stay true to herself and to God, having great respect and reference for life!I would recommend the book to anyone ~ especially young parents , actually anyone!

Dr. Vladimir Kvint has been a professor of strategy, management systems and international economics at Fordham University, New York University’s Stern School of Business, American and LaSalle Universities, and Babson College and serves as chair of the Financial Strategy Department in the Moscow School of Economics at Moscow State University, Russia. James retains his status as one of the most fascinating narrators/protagonists I've ever encountered -- although, really, how can you compete with a thirty-something guy who runs around with an extra-dimensional psychopathic alien living in his head? And the plot is just so fun -- wicked creepy, yes, but fun nonetheless! As always, Burnett doesn't pull punches -- the stakes are literally apocalyptic, bad things happen to good people, bad things happen to bad people, and awesome things happen every single page. Read it! You'll love it, I guarantee.

I'd also like to note that I begged By The Captain I should note, right here at the beginning that I was given a copy of this book in advance, for the purposes of reading and reviewing.I'd also like to note that I begged, pleaded, made a general fool of myself to make sure I got a copy, because that's how badly I wanted to be one of the first people to read it.I've been an avid follower of The Book of Lost Doors series since I found it. It's a wild ride and even when it isn't, it's meaningful, including a lot of down-to-earth sentiment and real human emotion amidst all the strangely eerie and wonderful. You won't find books like these anywhere else.I could say a lot about this one, but I'll just leave it at this: I'll be begging again to read book five.

Nicholls Misha Burnett continues to take us on a fascinating journey into an unusual world where things may not be as they seem. He has a real knack for developing complex characters who are faced with consequences making the read most interesting and unpredictable. This is the fourth installment in a series and it just keeps getting better. I normally avoid series, preferring stand-alones for closure, but I am so fascinated with the Catskinner and James character that I have to keep up with him wherever he goes.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Jam Packed By Daydreaming Awake There were some great positives for this book. For it to be a short story it had a lot of layers and elements to it. Jessie wasn't one of those breakable main characters, she was willing and ready to do what needed to be done for her family. She also wasn't afraid to stand up to anyone trying to re her life. Jacob was interesting because he was conflicted the whole story. I even liked the side stories.However there was so much information in it that I also felt it was rushed and not enough time was spent on each thing. This isn't a cliffhanger however it left me wanting to find out more about certain issues in the book. I wonder if this is going to be a series or at least this one being an introduction to a full book.

I loved the story, the action, the intrigue and the characters. I didn't love the grammatical errors, or lack of strong editing. For instance, in a love scene, the author referred to Jessie's inner wolf, but unless her inner bear ate the wolf, it just didn't make any sense. There were some spelling and formatting things that got to me too, but the story itself was solid, I really loved it.

I really enjoyed the complicated nature of Jessie and Jacob's relationship. The alpha Elijah was a bit overbearing and controlling, which are qualities of a good alpha and a protective brother. I liked the other brother Antonio better, he was way more chill and came to right conclusion much quicker.

Formulaic Yet Full of Surprises By Bret It's amazing to me that an author can write 14 books in a series and still be engaging and suspenseful, but Crane succeeds again.If you're reading this review, you've obviously read the other 13 books (it's required). You'll most probably like this book as much as the others. Sienna was even darker and more down than usual for much of it, but things are looking up for her state of mind towards the end.Some great new characters are added in this story, at least one of which looks like he'll be continuing on in future books.

By Alexa the Bookworm This may possibly be one of my favorite books so far in the Girl In/Out of the box series.-SPOILERS BELOW-I LOVE the new character Augustus. He's almost too goody two shoes for me, but I love his effect on Sienna. I like that Robert has shown the darker side of her life in a bit more detail. I am beyond excited for the next book. This is another must read by Robert J Crane!

By s.h2ocasa Glad to be able to read more about Sienna Nealon, defender, protector against those human and metahumans out to destroy mankind. This time she's in Atlanta to help solve the crime of murder. She encounters wickedness in government, big business and community leadership. All a shocker! NOT!!!Sienna is in a low state of emotions, constantly encountering negative press about her. One man, Augustus, and a few others discovering to be metahumans, tried to encourage her, at first, because of seeing her as a hero. Their opinions fluctuate throughout the book.Once again the action pack melees are out of this world. Adventurous, gory and described in such detail, painting a visual that seem almost real. Held me captive.My heart went out towards Sienna. She tries so hard to help the public but so misunderstood by others, who shun, gossip, offends and lies on her. At times she responds with bitterness and anger. A councilman even accused her of racism, suggesting there aren't many people of color on her staff, etc. He did have an ulterior motive speaking as he did, but I loved my girl's response to him and his alleged shake down. Sienna continues to show growth in maturity and seeks advice from others. I ached witnessing the strain between her and Reed, as well as others in her agency. I wanted to console her, encourage her, and do my best to lift her spirits. Come on girl, remember all the heroic things you have done? Please ignore the few negative voices bent on destroying you because you are a threat to their diabolical agendas. Wake up!! Walk in your purpose! Do what only you can do!Format of the book is basic...Sienna called to a town to handle crime committed by or perpetrated against metahumans, discovers the culprits, have this explosive encounter and then case solved. This is ok with me. I love Sienna and the others and I look forward to reading more and more books about her and these others.Still, highly recommend this series!

Gemma was recently fired from her job so she moved so that she could start over and when she moves to a new apartments she meets a young woman who becomes a close friend of hers. Carson has recently gotten out of prison and is trying to get his life back together with a group of friends. The strange thing about this story is that starts out talking about a different couple who will get their story in another book. Then we get the story of Gemma and Carson who through a series of incidents Carson becomes a wolf also there is a "virus" that effects the people around town. This story has a lot of twists and turns in this book and we see how crazy our villian is and what he is willing to do to accomplish his goals. There are some hot scenes but this is more action and suspense but also paranormal. There are more books in this series and they are already available. I will be reading them soon. The other stories will have all the characters from this story. While this story has a HEA and is a standalone but has a continuing storyline.I received a copy of this book for a honest review......

Carson and Gemma's story is amazing, Rest of them not so much By Andrew Dawe I just finished reading the fifth and final book and was very disappointed with the ending but I absolutely loved Awakened! This is the only book in the series I would recommend, even if it ends in a cliffhanger. The story and development of Carson and Gemma's story is perfect, it's not rushed like some of the following stories. Carson is a troubled ex con who ends up having a heart of gold and Gemma is a school teacher who lost her job and wants to start over. They compliment each other in ways that works, he's a little rough around the edges and she's soft. The author had a lot of development she could of done in the later books with the soul shifter aspect and unfortunately it seemed like it was more concentrated on getting enough written to publish instead of making the stories amazing. Carson and Gemma I feel like were pushed to the back of the stories and had little to no involvement after book two, which is why I'm only recommending this one. They had zero development in their relationship, no pregnancy, no engagement, nothing further then falling in love. After five story lines you'd think the original couple would have something happen besides saying 'I love you'. Instead the author decided she'd give all those relationship developments to another couple she writes about later, I was not happy about that. Carson was also the first soul shifter so naturally when reading the stories you get the feeling he will have a large part in trying to destroy the darkness when the final climax of the story happens yet that's not the case. The ending fell very very short of my expectations, but awakened is still an amazing story. Read the first one and stop after that, trust me it's not worth the reading time to see almost nothing happen.

By Jared Therrien Short version: if you want to learn hypnosis, erotic or otherwise, buy this book.Long version: Excellent followup to his first book. Covers a lot of the same material, but greatly expands on most. The format is a lot different as the entire book is organized into stand alone chapters. Because of this you can read it in any order you like, even skipping entirely sections that dont interest you. Even if you never want to do anything erotic with hypnosis, you will still love this book. He presents everything in the "vanilla" context first, then goes into the erotic variants.

By Chew Toy It may not be entirely obvious from the blurb, but this is essentially a collection of notes for different talks or seminars to be given at conferences, about different aspects of erotic and recreational hypnosis; it's sort of the 201 classes to Mind Play's 101 Intro. This means that each chapter can stand on its own; and, that even if you're experienced with hypnosis and/or kinky play, you're likely to find something useful here, from new ideas for your use to ways of organizing the things you already know to teach them to other people.

Chapter on presentation tips is worth the five-star rating on its own By An Amazon Customer I am reading this book now in the Kindle Unlimited program. I had intended to scan through it for some quick background information on erotic hypnotism for an article I'm writing, but I've found this book to be much more substantial and better-written than I would have ever guessed. The chapter that provides tips for presentations is worth a full five-star rating all on its own. In fact, I'd encourage the author to consider adapting and publishing just that section for a general audience. It would be a gift to the universe if he could save even one person from getting trapped in a Death by Powerpoint session. I found the information on erotic hypnotism to be presented in an easy-to-understand conversational, but not superficial, manner. I'm sure if you are interested in teaching or learning about the subject this guide is a must-have.
