I rated it 3 stars, simply because it serves as a quick introduction of the subject. This is not a bad rating, but accurate.Two audiences:One: For anyone who has never heard of the atrocious acts of human experimentation, or is curious, please read. This is a great STARTING POINT into the subject. You won't believe that these are very real circumstances for millions of people. Hopefully, this will make you more aware and lead you to seek even more information.Two: If you are a current consumer of modern documentaries regarding human deprivation and have sought to fulfill your curious appetite, I don't recommend this publication. There is nothing new, here.

I've read over 200 books on this subject over the past 20 years. Many have a couple of good takeaways that I use, but weren't really worth the time I invested. This book is different.The author is engaging, humorous and doesn't come off as preachy like many business authors. He share a lot of his own real-world experiences and doesn't pretend to be 100% perfect. He lays out an easy to follow, common sense, 12 step approach to building a successful business. His experiences and examples are relate-able to things I've gone through and am going through. He sprinkles humor throughout so it's an easy, quick read. There are many sample worksheets included to help you think about things visually and track your progress towards your goals. I'm already using the concepts and worksheets from this book will continue to do so in the future.I highly recommend this to anyone looking to grow a small to medium sized organization. This is the author's first book and I hope there are more to come!

7 of 8 people found the following review helpful. outstanding By Jon Frederickson Wilberg's book is by far the best one written on the implications of Heidegger's work for the field of psychotherapy. Suddenly the Zollikon seminars make sense in a totally new light. He takes Heidegger's comments on objectification and reveals how our scientized manner of viewing the human person prevents us from listening to our own being or the being of the patient. Even if you are not interested in Heidegger, any therapist should purchase the book to read what he has to say about listening. I found it radically shifted my understanding of what it meant to listen to myself or someone else. A remarkable book.

Awsome installment By Catherine Mackay Absolutely awesome installment - it went in directions that were completely unexpected and I loved the epilogue. I will be brief with this review as it is short and I don't want to give too much of the plot away. The writing is tight and the battle scenes between the Ekkai, Ortani and Devlin's liberty force was outstanding. Once again Devlin and his Shediri allies are out-numbered and out-gunned but are bent on victory against the Ekkai before the forces from Earth arrive on the scene - in a previous book the Earth forces destroyed the Squiddies homeworld with a gravity bomb and of course Devlin doesn't want a repeat on the Ekkai homeworld. So Liberty fleet are going all out to defeat the Ekkai, get them to surrender in double quick time before the Earth forces arrive. A thoroughly enjoyable installment and look forward to more installments.

I bought it as a box set and Mr Bloom does not let you down . Bye the whole set it's cheaper that way and you can keep reading . I buy the singles because I love the story but then end up buying the set so I can just sit back and read . This is one of the ones that I had got when it first came out because I think the series is that good . Full of space action that will keep you turning pages.

Once again Ram is the under dog in a fight, though it is a position that he seems to thrive in. Ram is determined to save the Ekkai's home world- not wanting the UN and Privateer forces to destroy another home world. Fast paced book, with a great epilogue. I hope there will be another book- the sooner the better!

Lots of Fun for Fans of the Greater Demon Universe By Dave Phipps This takes place in the Keeley / Zack / Eve universe (greater demons, vampires, shifters, adelede, etc.). Tyler is human, or at least that's what he thinks. He has to navigate a world he isn't prepared for, but manages to surprise everyone, including himself.This is a fun story. Lot's of twists and turns, lot's of character development, and a great deal of interaction with several people we have met in other books. That interaction is what really made me enjoy the book. We get to see other sides of the characters we've met previously, and see them through the eyes of someone else.There is a bit of sex, but nothing too graphic. I would recommend a slightly older audience, but mid-teen and older should be fine.If you like the other Keeley / Zack / Eve books, you'll love this series. If you like any other P.S. Power books, start with Demon Girl (Keeley Book 1) and work through that series. I highly recommend it.

Olive This review is for the three book series of Tyler G. : Among the Living, Living Proof, The Living and the Dead.A new character, Tyler Garnett ("Call me Ty") is out jogging early one morning and encounters a gang assaulting a young woman. Being a good guy, he tries to help before he realizes that the gang are all vampires - as is the victim. Despite his certainty that he is going to die, he manages to survive by a combination of luck, some rudimentary martial arts training, and the onset of dawn which weakens and eventually stuns the gang.Of course, this really isn't the whole explanation. During the course of the story we encounter Kelsey, Zack, Eve, and most of the other characters in the story arc. If you enjoyed the earlier stories you will enjoy these as well.As a self-published author PS Power has the freedom to break most of the rules. After writing a sub-series "Other Places" he had the chutzpah to re-write and publish it as "Alternate Places" set in an alternate reality. Both series are good and worth reading, but I cannot imagine a publishing company allowing this to happen. He experiments with multiple different genres and styles of writing as well - mysteries, romance, etc.Many of his protagonists are 'over-powered' which is a stylistic mortal sin for traditional books. Increasingly more authors are successfully 'sinning' in this way. Notable examples are John Conroe, Laurence Dahners, and Glenn Bullion.As part of his wildly creative style he will sometimes deal with some philosophical point of views that are off-putting. The first book contains an anti-feminist plot element that is jarring. His vampires, shifters, and Aledes seem real enough, but the radical feminist characters seem so unreal as to break immersion. I recommend skipping through this part and getting back to the main story, which is quite good.

Tyler fits the author's normal starting profile -- 20 +/- 4 years old, and generally unaware of much of the "larger world", becomes involved by attempting to stop a killing of a vampire by 5 other vampires. He is successful in his attempt, and is pulled into the "Westfield Mall" environment -- multi-national embassies of beings "other than human". He gets a job at the bookstore, shares a house with a "shifter" and vampire, and quickly gets "sucked in" to much deeper involvement, by becoming the leader of a "coalition of nations"...The story is written in typical 'Power fashion -- linear, first-person POV, in almost minute-by-minute detail. The normal typos are there, along with the occasional mis-aligned and sometimes inane sentence, when the author changes his intent mid-sentence. It's a typical "mind-dump stream", best read in the same manner, by paragraph or multiple paragraphs. Reading to closely provides more than a few WTF moments!The story dives almost immediately into sexual humor and innuendo, as has become common with the author lately. There are occasional continuity breaks, though they are minimized when the reader finally becomes aware of Tyler G.'s peculiarities (after reading all 3 books).I admit to being "entertained" by the stories within the "KeeleyVerse" and, in most cases find the author's "soap box rants" humorous rather than offensive.

By Vickie Jo Lasley This is a good book for young readers, full of teenage angst mixed with a bit of magic. Krystel moves in with her Aunt Jodi after the death of her mother from a car accident. Because of some psychic issues Krystel has, in her old school she was the class pariah. She's looking forward to a new start in her new town school vowing that things will be different this time. First day of her new school, she literally runs into the "mean" girl of school, also named Crystal, who spills her coffee all down the front of Krystel's clothes. Krystel then meets a boy named Owen who generously gives the sweatshirt off his back so she can go through the day without anyone knowing her clothes are stained from the coffee. Because of Owen, she meets other kids and is able to begin new friendships while still having to deal with the other Crystal. Owen also gives her the nickname of Krissa because Crystal has such a bad connection in the school.It turns out that Crystal and her friends are witches, and Krissa discovers that those self-same psychic abilities she has makes her a witch, too. What can she do? How is she going to get through the days without allowing her psychic powers get away from her and causing all kinds of grief for her? Will she be able to control her powers? Will she have to work with the other Crystal to tame them?

I'm not usually a fan of young adult fiction, but I wanted to give this a shot. I know it's supposed to be young adult, but honestly the characters are WAY more mature than most people their age today. So not only will it appeal to a younger audience, but adults will be cool with it too! I liked how the characters are set up and I was on board to root for the main character all the way. Who doesn't love the outcast/underdog/downtrodden? I thought the ending was the perfect climax and I can't wait to pick up Wild Magic to find out what happens next!

Kristyl is trust into a world that she knew nothing about after her mother dies in a car accident. She is often accused of things that happen at her school that she did not do so will it happen at the new school she is sent to. She meets new friends there and quickly is living the life she has always wanted but will it last and for how long before things happen once again.

Blavatsky had written this book from what she had learned by heart when she was studying in Himalayan places.The first lesson makes us understand Maya's illusory structure and dangers that it creates on our path. You should learn how to recognize them and deafeat them, then you'll begin to listen to the voice of silence which is the voice of your inner master. Second lesson teaches us about two different paths: heart one and eye one. Third and last lesson is about seven gates to Nirvana and describes us the weapons we should gather or create before fighting dangers we will encounter at each gate. But main lesson is that we should never give up. So if you think that your path is the one of duty for yourself but even more for mankind, this book is for you!

The characters had zero development and simply didn't act like, well, anyone...I mean, who, upon finding themselves kidnapped by an alien decides to relieve stress by masturbating in a public place? I guess we can't know because we don't personally know anyone abducted by an alien, huh? Fool me once....I won't be buying anymore in the series.

I got a bit surprised how good it actually was. It may be a little bit shorter than usual books and stories, but it's a really good read.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. What an inept character! By CMA I am so disappointed with this book, it took me at least two weeks to finish the book. I love All of the author's book except this one for sure. There is a lot of inconsistencies, the character is weak clueless, and inept....She is almost as bad as John snow of game of thrones lol. Anyways the book just drags on about hBo running around with kimchi the dog to accomplish absolutely nothing.The part that really bothered me is towards the end of the book there are a couple of parts that doesn't make any sense spoiler alert "I drop the phone and crunch it under my heel. I hear Michael’s voice for a second, a disembodied sound that’s frantic and pleading. When the phone is finally silent, I stand up" then a page later when she is at the rave she magically gets her phone out of her pocket and makes a call. "I take out my phone and find the number I need. When someone answers, I speak brusquely." It seems that the phone was put in a time bubble to appear in her pocket again!! I think the author should take a little longer writing the next book and trying to make Bo into a better investigator.

5 of 7 people found the following review helpful. DNF - Incompetent Characters By Sandra L. Powers I read the first three books in the Bo Blackman series via the Kindle Unlimited program. They were completely tolerable. I didn't much like the main character as a person, I found some of the side characters to be inconsistently characterized and the surrounding themes a bit worn, and the plot holes did sometimes dismay me, but all in all they were perfectly acceptable as a bit of fluffy fun - especially for KU titles.So that's exactly what I expected from Red Angel. To my vast surprise, however, I found myself unable to tolerate this one - in fact, I gave up and returned the thing for a refund at 39%. (Note that at this time, at least, Red Angel is not in the Kindle Unlimited program as the others were previously. In fact, it looks like they have all been pulled out of the KU program.) In that sense, this is therefore an incomplete review. I do have the other three volumes for stylistic context, however, and I can say that the writing quality here is consistent with the previous books, and that the concerns I mentioned above are still present but mostly still tolerable.So what then put me off Red Angel? In short, the way that Bo Blackman spends the first 39% of the book (and perhaps more, who knows?) proving on every single page how utterly incompetent she is at everything ever. I assume the author was setting her up for some redemption or ... something ... but it was very hard me to to put any faith in a character who had at least previously at least seemed somewhat competent but this time ... [spoilers redacted]. Well, we'll just say that she decides on a big, dangerous, complicated scheme because she is kinda bored and then neglects to spend even five minutes researching either the item that is at the linchpin of her plans or the place where it is stored, almost gets a friend killed, and only gets out of the surrounding mess because other characters are for some reason just as incompetent as she suddenly is.To be clear, it wasn't merely one instance of this that disgusted me. It was watching the main character and everyone around her make stupid decisions and stupid assumptions - large and small - in every interaction, apparently just so the author could move the plot along. (And I'm not going to talk about X. If I pretend that the one bit didn't exist, I can still have hope that the author allows him to remain an interesting and competent character for a little while longer. And I am clinging to that hope.)So, my recommendation: If you have read the other books and enjoyed them, try the free sample of Red Angel. I believe that you'll hit some examples of the problems I talk about here pretty quickly. If those don't bother you, I suspect you'll enjoy this book as well ... although I can't guarantee it since I didn't make it that far myself. :/[Edited to correct the percent read. I made it 9% more than I thought!]

By AlaynaSky I like the series enough to continue, but there are numerous words missing from sentences, or missing words, extra words...things that shouldn't be there.The worst offense however, is missing connective words like "the", "and", "in" and others. Recent example: "As far he's concerned."It SHOULD read..."As far as he's concerned."Why are there dozens of missing connective words? There are connective words missing from all the connective categories.I've seen this before, but this is the worst case.This happens so much in the series, it's very distracting.I cannot stand self editing, but it seems like no one read through the text at all. Software doesn't work. You can have a gazillion mistakes, but none will show up because you still spelled your mistakes correctly.It takes a good editor to catch all of these. I'm curious as to why there's so many to begin with.With that being said, I like Bo to a point. She's independent, stubborn, has a good sense of humor, a respect for right and wrong, but appears a bit childish.I think it's to drag out the relationship developing between her and Michael, but I wish they'd just get their act together and be a crime fighting team.Michael's not in the story enough. I like this author's writing. There are a vast amount of different characters and I enjoy the way they all connect even though many of them don't know about each other.....yet.I like the teen that helps Bo. I also like X. I have a list of books and authors I keep on a list, to remind me there will be continuing books and the list is for who I enjoy reading. I'll add this author as well for now.Despite the problems with the text, I do like this series.Had it been edited, I would have rated this higher.

By Breanna Chase the Dark is fast paced and exciting with a heroine you can really root for. This isn't a book with a love at first sight heroine who always needs to be saved. Piper is tough without being off-putting and has a number of very real vulnerabilities that she is working through. She relies on her martial arts skills to get by in a world filled with magic. There are several great scenes where she gets to face off against magic wielding daemons. The action scenes only add to an intriguing plot that has several exciting twists throughout the book.There are two male leads in this book and they are both equally interesting. They are nice contrasts to each other with Lyre being very forward and engaging and Ash being mysterious and aloof. Despite being so different they both come across as appealing and sexy. The romance builds slowly and promises much more to come in future books.Overall, Chase the Dark is a great read and I can't wait for the next one. The book does not end on cliffhanger but leaves enough loose ends that the next book promises to be even better.

Mckewen The negatives are the writing style seems a bit childish at first but improves dramatically as the book progresses. I don't know if this was the intention of the author to show growth in the characters or simply she became a more experienced writer as the book was developed. The other problem is in the detail. At one Consul House they climb trees to get into the building, when they get to the next one the author describes how the Consuls never plant trees near the houses so they can see enemies trying to get in. Lots of these sorts of inconsistencies.The positives are that the characters are likable and the plot is well thought out and leads nicely into a book series. No cliff hanger to ruin the reading experience. Interesting take on Angels and Demons so remember this is a work of fiction so suspend your religious beliefs and you will have fun with this book.Not sure how to recommend this one and not sure if I will read the rest of the series, just undecided I guess.

By xSerenityx020 I received a advanced copy of this for a honest opinion so here it is: This is the kinda book that sucks you in with the first sentence and keeps you on your toes till the last one. Piper is take no s***, kick ass kinda character that makes you fall in love with her in the beginning and to watch helplessly as the world that she has always known quickly falls apart around her. Things she has known her whole life now gets called in to question and the very two guys who are the only ones she can trust are the same ones she has been told her whole life not too. With badass fight scenes with some romance thrown in the mix you'll thoroughly enjoy the whole book and eagerly await the return of Piper, Lyre and Ash. If you enjoyed Laurell k Hamilton's Anita Blake then I have no doubts you will enjoy this as well :)
